Giving back to the community

Donate to the Hughes Memorial Union.

Greetings Friends!

Please consider making a fully tax deductible donation to the Hughes Memorial Union. Our projects include The Local, The Union and The Wellness Collective, all located at 415 Sharon Goshen Turnpike, and The Hughes Library, 35 Lower River Road, currently hosting Belinda Sinclair, magicienne extraordinaire, until the end of August and the very exciting reopening of the Cornwall Whale, with Lindsay Stadig, on October 1, 2026. We are also very excited to announce that Lindsay’s reopening will include community art classes!

As of last count, we have 120 different vendors at The Local and eight different teachers at the Wellness Collective with different yoga, fitness and meditation classes offered seven days a week. The Union, with it’s new wall, hosts meetings, tutoring and a quiet place to get work done with our high speed internet.

Overall, the message of the Hughes Memorial Union is community. Think of us as an incubator, a catalyst—a place where good concepts can launch and flourish—and where the answer is usually ‘yes’.  Creating this special place has been—and will continue to be—a team effort, and if you’re reading this letter, know that you’re an important part of this success.

Finally, please understand that while we strive for self-sufficiency, we still depend on the generosity of this community to ensure that all of this keeps going and growing.

To that end, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.  Drop off a check on your next visit or simply click on the link here:
